Volvo Penta Fuel Filter Insert 1147147

Volvo Penta 1147147 is a genuine OEM fuel filter insert used in Volvo Penta fuel filter and water separator applications. Key Features

• Genuine Volvo Penta fuel filter insert
• Part number 1147147
• Used in fuel filter / water separator service applications
• Commonly described in public listings as a 2 micron filter element
• Intended to help remove fine fuel contaminants before they reach the engines fuel system
• Best matched by exact part number, filter housing, engine model, and serial number

Engine Compatibility
Public fitment listings commonly associate Volvo Penta 1147147 with a broad range of Volvo Penta marine diesel engines, including applications such as KAD32, KAD42, KAD44, AD31, AD41, TAMD31, MD22, D2, D3, D4, and D6. Some sellers also tie it to Volvo Penta fuel filter housings such as 877762 and 877763. Because public fitment coverage varies by seller and fuel-system configuration, this should be treated as a serial-number-confirmed fuel-system part.

Serial Number Fitment Notice
Please confirm fitment by engine model, serial number, and fuel filter housing/application before ordering. This is especially important because public sources agree on the part identity but vary in how broadly they describe engine coverage.

When This Part Needs Replacement
Replace this filter insert during scheduled fuel filter / water separator service, or anytime the existing element is contaminated, restricted, damaged, or due under normal maintenance intervals. Because this is a fine fuel-filtration element, replacement is typically tied to routine fuel-system service and clean-fuel maintenance.

Installation Notes
Install only in the correct Volvo Penta fuel filter and water separator assembly. Matching by part number, engine model, serial number, and existing filter housing is the safest approach. If servicing the separator, inspect the bowl, seals, and housing condition at the same time.

Alternate / Superseded Part Numbers

• 1147147
• Public comparison listings commonly group this part with related filter insert numbers 861014 and 3581760, but these represent different filtration variants and should not be treated as direct substitutes without confirming the exact application.

Parts Desk Insight
The strongest public data on 1147147 is very consistent: it is a Volvo Penta fuel filter insert for fuel filter / water separator service, and it is commonly described as the 2 micron version. For Marisol Marine customers, the safest sale is against the exact engine serial number and filter housing rather than broad engine-family assumptions.
