ECHO Swing Switch 6116 Fly Rod 6WT 11’6″

The ECHO Swing Switch 6116 is a powerful, versatile two-handed fly rod designed for anglers who want serious performance without the price tag of high-end spey rods. Built with a smooth, medium-fast action, this 11’6″ 6-weight delivers the perfect blend of crisp recovery, controlled power, and forgiving feel, making it well suited to a wide range of casting strokes and real-world fishing situations.

Unlike full-length spey rods, the Swing Switch series is tuned for environments where space is limited but backbone still matters. This makes the 6116 an excellent choice for swinging flies, skating dries, or running indicators and sink tips on rivers where a compact, responsive two-hander gives you a major advantage. Whether youre targeting steelhead, salmon, or large trout, this rod offers the strength to manage big fish while staying smooth and comfortable through long days on the water.

ECHO is known for building exceptional two-handed rods that rival far more expensive models, and the Swing Switch continues that tradition. The blank features a striking gloss blue steel finish and is outfitted with SIC stripping guides and hard chrome snake guides for smooth line flow and durability. An anodized aluminum reel seat provides a secure, corrosion-resistant platform, while two grip styles allow for comfortable switch and spey techniques. The rod is supplied in a fabric-covered rod case and sock for safe storage and transport.

At Harbour Chandler, we recommend the ECHO Swing Switch 6116 to anglers looking for a high-performance switch rod that covers swinging, skating, and indicator techniques with ease, all while delivering outstanding value and backed by ECHOs lifetime warranty.
