Parts Desk Insights

Best Use Case: Best suited for owners and boatyards looking for ablative, season-to-season bottom protectionespecially when you need flexibility to paint at lower temperatures.

Common Issues: Ablative bottom paints rely on steady in-water use; if growth persists, its usually related to surface prep/old coating compatibility, application rate/thickness, or not maintaining the hull in a way that allows the coating to work as intended. Always follow the product instructions and confirm compatibility with any existing coatings before painting.
