Lewmar Low Profile Rectangular Hatch Size 03

The Smallest Low Profile Hatch in the Lewmar Range

The Lewmar Low Profile Rectangular Hatch Size 03 is the most compact option in the Low Profile rectangular lineup ideal for tight deck spaces where ventilation is needed but a larger hatch simply wont fit. At just 1 above deck, it sits flush and unobtrusive, complementing the clean lines of both powerboats and sailboats. The anodized aluminum frame resists corrosion in saltwater environments, and the curved upper frame profile adds structural strength while maintaining the hatchs signature low-profile look.

The lid opens up to 180 and can be operated from on deck via the outside handle, even when unlocked. A full range of spare parts is available. CE Approved.

Compatible Applications

• Powerboat deck ventilation in tight or restricted spaces
• Sailboat ventilation cabin top, side deck, or cockpit
• Areas where structural constraints limit hatch size
• Replacement for existing small rectangular deck hatches
• Suitable for both fresh and saltwater environments

Parts Desk Insights

Best Use Case: The Size 03 is the go-to when deck space is severely limited common in areas like the cockpit sole, quarter berth vents, or anywhere a standard-size hatch would compromise structural integrity or aesthetics. It provides meaningful ventilation in a minimal footprint. If your space allows, consider stepping up to the Size 10 or Size 20 for greater airflow. Pair with a Lewmar Lock Kit for added security.
