Tempress Access Slam Hatch White, 13″ x 23″

Tempress Access Slam Hatch White, 13″ x 23″

A large-format, walk-on-rated deck access hatch built for high-traffic areas where a fast, weather-tight seal is essential. The slam latch closes and seals in a single motion no separate latching step required. Constructed from glass-filled polypropylene for strength and impact resistance, this hatch is rated to support people walking or standing on it, making it well-suited for flush-deck installations on center consoles, bass boats, and pontoons where the opening needs to be large enough for gear, tackle, or equipment access.

• 13″ x 23″ opening large-format size for wide access to storage, livewells, or equipment bays
• Slam latch closure forms a weather-tight seal on closing; no separate latch operation needed
• Glass-filled polypropylene construction strong, lightweight, and UV-resistant; rated for foot traffic
• Patented integral hinge assembly allows full lid removal for unobstructed access
• Beveled and skirted lid covers all fasteners for a clean finish above and below deck
• White finish blends with standard white deck gelcoat
• Fasteners: Requires 12 #12 pan-head self-tapping screws (not included)

Parts Desk Insights

Best use case: This is the right hatch when a customer needs a large walk-on-rated opening typically over a livewell, a deep storage locker, or an equipment bay where the 11″ x 15″ size would be too restrictive. The slam latch is a meaningful upgrade over a cam-latch hatch in high-use applications because it eliminates the extra step of engaging the latch after closing. At 13″ x 23″, this is one of the larger slam-latch options in the Tempress lineup and is a common fit for center console and bass boat OEM cutouts in this size class.

For the smaller slam hatch in this family, see the Tempress Access Slam Hatch White, 11″ x 15″.
