Interlux Pre-Kote Primer

Interlux Pre-Kote is a single-package undercoater for use above the waterline, giving a smooth, fair surface before applying a one-part topside finish. It’s VOC compliant and formulated for use with Brightside Polyurethane, Toplac, Interlux Yacht Enamels, or other one-part topside finishes.

Built-in microspheres give Pre-Kote strong build and hide while improving flow and sandability. It’s available in White (4279) and Blue Gray (4280) use Blue Gray under dark topside colours, or blend the two for intermediate shades.

One or two coats are typically recommended, with sanding required between coats and before overcoating. Do not use INTERTHANE PLUS 2300 Series Polyurethane or any two-part catalyzed product over Pre-Kote. Coverage is approximately 100 square feet per quart, and it can be thinned up to 10% with Interlux 333 Brushing Liquid or Interlux 216 Special Thinner.
