Plastimo Offshore 75 Compass – Bracket Mount

The Plastimo Offshore 75 compass draws on Plastimo’s experience in compass engineering. Its exclusive “Vibration Absorber” system keeps minimal contact between the pivot and the sapphire cup, so the card stays stable regardless of boat speed or vibration. Resistance to vibration has been tested by LCIE, France’s official testing laboratory.

This bracket-mount version has a broad, sturdy base that absorbs vibration, and it can be removed from its mount when fitted with the clip-plate. It’s supplied with a clip-plate, screws, and a drilling template.

Card and Lighting

The conical card has a 70mm apparent diameter, graduated every 5 with heading numerals every 30 for easy reading. Each card is individually balanced in Plastimo’s workshops. A red lubber line gives instant recognition, and an integrated 12-24V LED spreads illumination evenly across the bowl to reduce eye strain at night.

Construction

All parts are UV-ray treated and the dome is scratch resistant. The one-piece moulded flange and bowl, combined with a Viton diaphragm that absorbs fluid volume changes from temperature and pressure shifts, keep the compass watertight and free of bubbles. A unique flange-clip system gives easy access for compensation or lighting service. Only the bracket-mount and mini-binnacle versions can be fitted with the optional compensation box (accessory #17673).

The Offshore 75 comes with a 5-year warranty.
