Parts Desk Insights

This wire is the go-to replacement for anglers who run their downriggers hard. The 150 lb. test rating gives you confidence when fishing deep with heavy weights, and the included terminal kit eliminates the guesswork of sourcing compatible hardware separately. Best used as a scheduled maintenance replacement most guides and charter captains swap wire annually or after heavy use to prevent unexpected failures at depth. The case-of-6 format is especially practical for tackle shops and outfitters keeping service stock on hand. Pair with Scotty 1147 Downrigger Weight Hooks and a Scotty 1028 Gimbal Mount for a complete downrigger service kit.
